Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. This tool makes static QR codes: the link or text is stored directly inside the QR image, with no redirect server in between, so they work forever. The only catch is that if the link itself changes, you need to make a new QR code.
How does a Wi-Fi QR code work?
Enter your network name and password, and anyone who points their phone camera at the code can join without typing the password. It is handy on the wall of a cafe, office or holiday rental. The password is stored inside the image, so only post it where people are allowed to see it.
Will it still scan with a logo in the middle?
When you add a logo, the error correction level is raised to the maximum (30%) automatically, so most scanners still read it. A very large logo or weak color contrast can break it, so always test the saved code with your phone before printing.
Which file should I use for printing?
For flyers, posters and banners, download the SVG. It stays perfectly sharp at any size. For screens, email and messaging apps, PNG is all you need.
