Favicon Generator
Create a full set of site icons from one logo image — or from a single letter or emoji.
How to install your favicon
- Unzip the download and upload the files to the root folder of your site (where index.html lives).
- Paste the HTML snippet above inside the <head> of every page.
- Browsers cache favicons for a long time, so if you don't see the change straight away, do a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac). Google search results can take a few days to a few weeks to update.
To remove the background from your logo first, use remove background; to cut an image down to a square, use crop image.
Frequently asked questions
What is a favicon?
It is the small site icon shown in browser tabs, bookmarks and on phone home screens. Google also shows it next to your site name in search results — without one, you get a generic grey globe.
Which files are included?
One ZIP containing favicon.ico (16, 32 and 48 px in a single file), favicon-16x16.png, favicon-32x32.png, apple-touch-icon.png (180 px) for iPhone home screens, 192 and 512 px PNGs for Android, and a site.webmanifest. Upload them to the root folder of your site and paste the HTML snippet into your <head>.
Can I use it with WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or Shopify?
Yes. In WordPress go to Appearance → Customize → Site Identity → Site Icon and upload the 512 px PNG. Wix, Squarespace and Shopify each have a favicon setting in their site or theme settings — a single 512×512 PNG is enough for most site builders.
Is my logo uploaded to a server?
No. Your logo is turned into icons only inside this browser on your own device.
